Jerry Milani, who has more than 30 years experience in sports and entertainment media relations, writing and broadcasting, was named Caldwell University Director of Athletic Communications in June 2023 by Mark A. Corino, Assistant Vice President/Director of Athletics. Milani had served as Interim Director since March 2023.

Milani has served in athletic communications at the collegiate level at the University of Maryland Baltimore County and the East Coast Conference. Outside of the college realm, he has worked for two public relations agencies and for the International Fight League, a team-based mixed martial arts league, and as a freelance professional. His PR clients have included Wizard World and FAN EXPO, which produce pop culture and celebrity conventions across North America, USA Wrestling, the National Lacrosse League, Strat-O-Matic Media, the American Association of Professional Baseball, the Pacific Life Open and Pilot Pen Tennis tournaments and dozens of others.

"We are so fortunate to have added Jerry to our staff on a full-time basis," said Mark A. Corino, Assistant Vice President and Director of Athletics. "He has done an outstanding job working with us in the broadcasting areas for us for many years and now it's a pleasure to have him handling all areas of our Athletic Media relations department. Jerry is a true professional and has experience in all Athletic Media fields. His vast knowledge and understanding of all areas will bring increased visibility and exposure to our institution and athletic department."

Milani is an active member of College Sports Communicators, serving on various national committees, including the CSC Academic All-America program and CSC Women's Basketball East Region regional polls, and is East Region Coordinator for the D2CCA Women's Basketball All-America program.

Milani had also been the play-by-play announcer for Caldwell football and basketball broadcasts since 2008. The Rockland County, N.Y., native is a proud graduate of North Rockland High School and Fordham University and now lives in Bloomfield, N.J.
